Students become acquainted with researchers of current research focuses in the field of nutrition sience and their national and international research institutions. They will get familiar with the thematic diversity of nutritional research as well as the different objectives of institutional (e.g. universities, research centers of the Helmholtz Gemeinschaft, etc.), industrial (e.g. pharmaceutical industry) and public (e.g. Max Rubner-Institut) research institutions. In addition, students obtain theoretical insight into numerous methods and their applications.

Ziel des Moduls ist, dass die Studierenden nach dessen Abschluss in der Lage sind, die Herangehensweise an unterschiedliche wissenschaftliche Fragestellungen nachzuvollziehen, komplexe Inhalte verständlich wiederzugeben, sich mit fremden Forschungsgebieten auseinanderzusetzen und Texte in "scientific English" zu formulieren.
