Students understand how information technology innovations cause disruptive changes in any social system, and any economic activities in large urban areas.
Refering to urban participation, mobility and logistics, retail and culture, healthcare, aging societies, and public security, students are able to describe the transformation of today's urban areas into future smart cities, and they are able to analyze and explain how digital transformation changes social and economic subsystems in the city of the future.
Students are able to explain a topic to non-experts in the field, namely students with a different study background. Students are able to analyze research articles from different disciplines/fields and to present them in an oral presentation to the members of the course.
