The students will learn
- to design oligonucleotide primers for amplifying/modifying a bacterial gene using bioinformatics tools.
- how to modify a gene to enable its expression in E.coli using molecular biology methods.
- which parameters can be optimised for protein over-expression in bacteria using biochemical methods.
- to analyse, describe and present their data obtained and discussing them in the context of previous results from scientific publications. - Key competences:
