Professional competences:

The aim of this course is to introduce students to the emerging field of nutrigenomics by highlighting recent research questions and study results, methodologies that are applied in this field, including genome sequencing, other omics technologies and bioinformatics, and important ethical questions that result from advancing technologies and human subject research.

Key competences:

Ziel des Moduls ist, dass die Studierenden nach dessen Abschluss in der Lage sind, die wissenschaftliche und medizinische Relevanz aktueller Forschung im Bereich der Nutrigenomik und verwandter Forschungsfelder zu erfassen und in ihrem gesamt-gesellschaftlichen ethischen Zusammenhang zu diskutieren.
