Professional competences:

The students know and understand the rational behaviour of households and corporations in the form of utility and profit maximisation. They have knowledge about the analysis of consumer behaviour and the corporate decision calculation. They are able to graphically and analytically examine the behaviour of households and corporations and to explain the functionality of price mechanisms. Furthermore, they are able to characterise the equilibria in markets in short as well as in long-term observations and can define their welfare economic characteristics.
