The students have in-depth knowledge about the historical books of the Old Testament and methods of biblical exegesis. They know and understand important parts from the book of Genesis until the 2nd book of Kings and adequate techniques for their interpretation. They are able to independently apply approaches of the historical-critical method to biblical texts. They are able to reflect on problems of understanding historical texts and to solve them with the aid of corresponding hermeneutical tools.
