The proseminar covers fundamental and methodological questions of the appropriate handling of biblical texts. In the centre are selected approaches of the historical-critical method which are developed from particular sample texts (textual criticism, literary criticism, form and genre criticism, redaction criticism). The seminar enables the students to independently apply some of these methods to some extent to biblical texts from the body of the Old Testament's historical books.
