Inhalt:

In this module basic knowledge about Food and Nutrition Security and different intervention strategies will be taught. A major focus is placed on the nutritional improvement of vulnerable groups like pregnant and lactating women, infants and children in developing countries. Therefore, skills to assess nutritional status (anthropometric, biochemical) and nutrient intake will be intensively communicated and practiced. Moreover, health-related interactions with nutritional status are discussed.
