Students will learn basic methods of probability theory and descriptive and analytical statistics. In addition they will be familiar with some ad-vanced methods of applied multivariate statistics.
To analyze real data sets they will become acquainted with statistical software packages as SAS (Statistical Analysis System) or R - Key competences:

The aim of the module is that the students are in a position to analyze a given data set, i.e. to find the appropriate model, to use the correspond-ing tools of the software package, to interpret the output and to draw the right conclusions for the model.
