The students are able to expand the knowledge they acquired in the area of the basic module "Growth and Employment" largely independently. They are able to independently write a structured paper on a predefined topic in the area of labour market economy, growth and business cycle theory which adequately covers the topic and fulfils basic scientific standards. They are able to present the results of their work in front of a group of fellow students and to articulate and defend their point of view. Besides descriptive statistics, the students gain insight into country and case studies and the analysis of econometric results and acquire instrumental skills in analysis, synthesis and problem recognition and solving. Furthermore, the students learn to listen actively and acquire systemic competencies such as reflective and cooperative learning.
