- Workload:
-
180 hours: 26 hours class attendance, 154 hours independent study. The independent study encompasses the preparation of the seminar paper, the preparation and follow-up of the seminar sessions, the preparation of an individual presentation and contribution to the discussions. The time allocated for the preparation of the seminar paper, the preparation of the presentation and the preparation for the discussion depends on the topics, but the total time always remains the same.
- Professional competences:

The students are able to expand on their acquired knowledge from the modules "Internal Management 1: Controlling" and "Internal Management 2" in a topic-oriented manner and largely independently with the aid of relevant literature. They are able to independently write a structured paper about a predefined topic in the area of internal management functions which adequately deals with the topic and fulfils basic scientfic standards. They can present the results of their paper to a group of their fellow students and articulate and defend their positions during the discussion. In particular, they are able to classify information regarding selected issues and from different scientific sources critically and to use them for reflective work on the issue.
- Comments:
-
Seminars are offered each semester by the chairs Controlling, Entrepreneurship, Procurement and Logistics as well as Risk Managment and Derivatives in differing combinations. To participate in a seminar, you must apply. Information on seminar topics and the application procedure are announced at the end of the previous semester (for the summer semester from the 10 June onwards, for the winter semester from 10 January onwards) on the homepage of the chair of Controlling. The centralised application procedure ensures that all preferences can be considered in the seminar allocation.
