Upon successful completion of the module students
- are able to conduct independent experimental research in the field of food science and engineering or an adjacent field ac-cording to given instructions on an assigned topic, record their findings and discuss them
- have extensive knowledge and expertise in the topic of their Master’s thesis
- are able to employ scientific methods in the field of food sciene and engineering or adjoining disciplines and present their findings as a scientific work
- are able to independently work with complicated laboratory equipment - Comments:

Registration for the module on an individual basis in consultation with the supervising professor.
The Master’s thesis is graded by two professors, one of which has to be in charge of at least one compulsory module of the programme in Food Science and Engineering
