- Interdisciplinary case studies by groups (25%), Seminar paper by student (50 %) plus its presentation in seminar (25%)

 - Gender, food security and nutrition (Bellows/Scherbaum)
 - Food quality (Biesalski)
 - Global and regional challenges of food security, incl. global trends in food production and trade, causes, and economic im-plication (Brockmeier)
 - Institutional policies (microfinance, land policy) and safety net policies (Zeller)
 - Sustainability of food production (Cadisch)
 - Verifying new qualification by conducting interdisciplinary case studies on food policy (Guest professor FSC/Nielsen)
