The students know and understand the basics of the monetary and banking system. They have knowledge about the instruments and effects of monetary policy decisions. They are able to analyse disturbances of the market with regard to their macroeconomic consequences and to propose and justify adquate reactions of the central bank. The students learn to think in complex macro-models and to impart the insights gained here.
