Students are well acquainted with the empirical analysis of topics within public economics. They have knowledge of the underlying theoretical models and the empirical methods utilized in recent research to test the hypotheses. They are able to interpret empirical research and critically assess its validity. The tutorial discusses recent empirical advances in the identification of causal effects and students are required to apply these methods in a written assignment.
