The students have in-depth knowledge in the area of controlling and its most important instruments. They especially know and understand the controlling task of secondary coordination and are able to handle the typical controlling instruments. They are able to analyse and to evaluate key figures. Students gain competencies in applying controlling instruments such as the value-centred management control or balanced scorecards, as well as in critcally evaluating their importance and function. In the integrated exercise, they work on small case studies and thus learn to recognise practically relevant problems and to use suitable controlling instruments for the solution. These cases shall preferably be completed in teams so that the skills for working effectively in teams and cooperatively solving problems are promoted.
