The students understand principles and concepts related torna) the structure and function of dehydrogenases, oxidases, monooxygenases, dioxygenases and peroxidasesrnb) selective reductions and oxidations using dehydrogenases, oxidases, oxygenases and peroxidasesrnc) the separation of reaction mixtures, the purification and characterization of organic compounds, the analysis and separation of diastereomeric and enantiomeric mixtures.
The students acquire practical skills in a) performing laboratory procedures for synthetic and analytical chemistry, b) safe handling of enzymes, chemicals and instruments.
