Professional competences:

The students have in-depth knowledge in the business language of an additional cultural environment (usually electable: Spanish-speaking and English-speaking countries). Hereby, they can build on their subject-specific knowledge from the preceding modules and can concentrate on the linguistic and cultural characteristics of this additional language area. They know and understand the linguistic nuances in the internal environment of a corporation (e.g. from different functions such as marketing and finance) and they can express themselves in the additional foreign language in a complex and appropriate (Council of Europe C1 level) way about entrepreneurial issues. They are able to work on case studies from corporations in written form and to comment on prepared issues in a report (in written or in oral form). Hereby, the linguistic requirements of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (level C1) have to be fullfilled. A special focus of the advanced module 2 lies on the intensive application of intercultural knowledge.
