The lecture guides through all phases of the HR process from personnel recruitment to development and discusses advantages and disadvantages of different methods and instruments of personnel psychology on the basis of psychological theories and findings. Hereby, the perspective of the individual person and of the organisation will be addressed. The following topics will be discussed: personnel recruitment as personnnel marketing on the one hand and as individual career decisions on the other hand, job demands analysis and methods of personnel selection, performance assessment and possible cognitive biases as well as personnel development measures.
