In this module, concepts of genomics with a focus on the structure, epigenetics, function, and editing of genomes will be introduced. Current methods of functional genomics and epigenomics will be introduced and mutual interrelations of genomics and plant breeding will be discussed: From genomics-assisted breeding to breeding-assisted genomics. Within this area, an individual topic of choice will be intensified to train scientific presenting in different formats of talks and writing. Teamwork and peer evaluations will be instrumental.
