Contents:

The (national and international) importance of breeding progress for crop production. Comparison of different types of cultivars and breeding categories. Established procedures in breeding and maintenance of clone, line, population, synthetic and hybrid varieties using one crop as an example for each. Methods of recurrent selection and gene transfer, mutation induction, polyploidy, and other breeding techniques. Lectures with beamer presentations, slides demonstration materials.
