The students understand how laboratory experiments, field studies, astronomical observations and space missions expand our knowledge about the origin and evolution of life. They realize that life on Earth is and always was strongly influenced by cosmic phenomena and that life itself could be a cosmic phenomenon, that is life may also exists on other planets and moons. The students know how to access the diverse astrobiological literature and to present and discuss results from relevant publications.
