The participants are familiar with the policies, strategies and principles that have been developed to assist affected populations during emergencies and in post-emergency rehabilitation. They also have knowledge about the role of preventive measures, including disaster risk reduction and preparedness strategies as well as conflict-resolution measures. In addition, they are familiar with the different organizations that have a mandate for promoting food security and agricultural development in crises-affected regions.
