Fundamental precision farming principles and description of spatial heterogeneity of soils and plants; data base structures, geographic information systems (GIS), global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) and variable rate technology (VRT) for the main operations in crop production, especially tillage, sowing, fertilisation and harvesting; decision support and economic evaluation

Lectures, demonstrations and practical exercises. Each student needs to contribute in a group of students to read, present and discuss a scientific paper as an exam prerequisit. The module is conducted in cooperation with teaching staff from other departments, international scientists and experts from different companies.
