- Introduction in sequence data libraries and software-tools for applied molecular biology
- Overexpression of enzymes: discussion of different expression systems (e.g. induction, stability of expression systems): E. coli, Lactobacillus, yeasts and their influences on enzyme production (yield), concepts of “food-grade”-systems, legal requirements in enzyme production for the food industry
- Methods for side-directed and error-prone mutagenesis
