You should present an original article. For background information, you should study a review article related to the article. The presentation is part of a major topic. It is important to connect data to major topics. Evolution of development is a field of biology that started to become defined in the 1980s after the discovery of conserved HOX clusters in vertebrated and fly genomes. Because it is still a loosely defined field, the seminar should provide clear examples of work in the field and the close connections of the field to other fields. Following the central tenet of the textbook? Evolution? by Barton et al, the seminar should make molecular biology the strongest data to understand the process of evolution.
