The lecture covers and connects the concepts of the study of evolutionar and developmental biology. The list of concepts comprises homology, morphological homology, molecular homology, evolutionary biology as historical science, morphological differences between embryos, molecular differences between embryos, new traits for new phyla, new traits within phyla, molecular basis for new traits, diversity of morphologies and molecular machineries as experiments that were and are conducted by nature, contingency as condition for change.
