Analysis of real-world genome-wide data sets with various items of (typically standard) software, starting from quality control, pre-processing to various inference methods.
(1) computer sessions to get to know several pieces of standard software
(2) semi-independent project work to analyse a real-world data set
(3) preparation of a project report

Anmerkungen:

Computer requirements: Students are welcome to bring and work on their own laptops (as far as they are suitable) OR alternatively inform us ahead of time of their requirements so that computers can be organised. Please note that a several software packages will have to be installed on the machines and that we will require Windows and Linux programs. The ideal setup would be a Windows (Win10 or newer) OS with bash/WSL (windows-subsystem for linux) enabled.
