Inhalt:

The students are introduced to the chemical and biological evolution as well as its complexity and emergence. They learn how chemical aspects determined the development of our solar system and about the chemical and physical conditions on the young planet Earth. In addition, prebiotic chemistry and the theories for the development of life on the planet are introduced and the development of the Earth is explained from a chemical point of view. Finally, today’s chemical industry and the anthropogenic chemical evolution are considered.
