Professional competences:

Students learn the principles of speciation, phylogenetic systematic and cladistic analysis, the basics of EvoDevo and recent advances in human evolution. They understand evolution as historical process and selection as its driving force. Labs and excursions to the museum of natural history teach examples of evolutionary principles hands-on.

Die Studierenden können - sofern genügend Teilnehmer-Plätze vorhanden sind - die Lehrveranstaltung "Entwicklung und Evolution der Tiere" (2201-052) im Wahlbereich wählen; dafür werden ihnen weitere 3 Credits angerechnet.
