- Understanding definitions and principles of tracer techniques
- Differentiation between stable and non-stable isotopes and their advantages and disadvantages
- Possibilities and justification for tracer studies in nutrition research
- Apply tracer techniques in specific examples of laboratory and animal work
- Skills in decision about the right method to choose
- Critically reflect scientific publications in the area of tracer work in animal nutrition.

Key competences:

Independent choice of adequate methods to solve certain scientific problems or questions. Confidence in data evaluation, interpretation and presentation.

Comments:

The minimum number of participants for the course to start is five.
The maximum number of participants is 15 because of limitation in the laboratory work.
