They are able to independently write a structured paper on a predefined topic in the area of monetary policy in Europe which adequately covers the topic and fulfils basic scientific standards. They are able to present the results of their work in front of a group of fellow students and to articulate and defend their point of view. The students learn to trace back several points of view in the literature as well in the seminar discussion to their respective theoretical core and to competently participate in the current debate on crisis tendencies in the European Monetary Union.
