Recent Topics in Health Economics focuses on analysing impacts of consumer behaviour on health. Individual health conditions are largely influenced by consumption decisions, for instance on food purchases or leisure activities.
Consumer research can illustratesuch interrelations by applying theoretical and empirical analyses, thus providing promising support for healthy lifestyles. Each course will deal with a special subject concerning consumption and health, for instance taking drugs, lack of exercise or poor nutrition, and will be based on top ranked journal articles. Against this background, valuable indications for preparing and writing the master thesis are provided. Students of the described module possess profound knowledge in research on Health Care and Public Management.
