The students are able to expand the knowledge they acquired in the module "Introduction to Quantitative Economic History" largely independently. They are able to independently write a structured paper on a predefined topic in this area which adequately covers the topic and fulfils basic scientific standards. They are able to present the results of their work in front of a group of fellow students and to articulate and defend their point of view. The students learn to develop empirical strategies independently, to work scientifically on simple economic history issues. In doing so, they learn the particularities of using historical sources, their preparation and critical classification.
