- Written exam covering the topics of both of the lectures (Botany and Zoology). The exam has to be passed as a whole. If the exam has been failed, the topics of both of the lectures will be examined.

Practical training in botany:
The students
- know the anatomies and lifecycles of the autotrophic organism groups and fungi
- are familiar with phenotypic identifying features of herbal organisms
- know the ecological role of the different groups of plants and their opportunities of use
Practical training in zoology:
The students
- are familiar with the characters of the most important taxonomic groups of the native Central European fauna
- are able to identify selected species of the Central European fauna without identification keys
- are able to identify animal species using identification keys
