As a basis for gene functional analyses the theoretical and practical knowledge on cloning and heterologous expression of protein coding genes will be provided.
This includes knowledge on
- Design and optimization of PCR for the isolation of target genes
- Construction of expression vectors
- Purification and analysis of proteins and nucleic acids
- Application of bacterial and plant cell culture systems
- Test systems for sequence-specific nucleases (TALEN) - Key competences:
