Professional competences:

Students
- learn how signaling pathways are modulated, using protein kinases, arrestin, rhodopsin, ion channels, and G-proteins as examples.
- learn how to present and interpret current scientific literature.

Methods:
- Recording and analysis of electroretinograms from fly eyes
- Preparation of cryosections and immunocytochemistry
- Water immersion microscopy for tracking a GFP-tagged protein

Key competences:

Ziel des Moduls ist, dass die Studierenden nach dessen Abschluss in der Lage sind,
- wissenschaftliche Originalarbeiten zu lesen und in einem Vortrag zu präsentieren.
- wissenschaftliche Daten kritisch zu diskutieren

- eigene Versuchsergebnisse präzise zu dokumentieren und zu präsentieren
