The module provides a comprehesive overview about up-to-date diagnostics of viral, bacterial and parasitic diseases of humans. Theoretical background on methods and the epidemiology of human diseases is given in lectures, and a practical course takes place in a public diagnostic laboratory, providing insights in day-to-day routine work.
