Students possess an in-depth understanding of a broad range of specific management tools in health care and social organizations. Special emphasis is placed on methods related to managerial accounting and control in these organizations. Their know-how includes awareness of the specific circumstances in the Health Care sector and the resulting consequences for the use of these management tools. Extensive use of practice oriented case studies enhance competencies in analysing and solving management problems. They are in a good position to analyse and to solve real world planning and budgeting problems using selected management tools.
