The students are familiar with the structure and functionality of basic macroeconomic models. They have knowledge in the areas of business cycle and employment theory. They are able to discuss the possibilities and limitations of stabilisation policy and labour market reforms with the aid of theoretical models and to develop relationships between theoretical results and empirical evidence. In the exercise sessions, the students learn how to apply the learned methods of model analysis to answer current economic policy questions.
