The students are familiar with the most important substances and compound classes of the Earth system and their relevant reactions. The students understand the underlying chemical concepts and know how to apply them. They comprehend the chemical aspects of the Earth system on a global scale as well as on the molecular level. The students acquire a differentiated view of anthropogenic impacts.
