Professional competences:

With the basics of physics of atoms and molecules and the forces of interaction the principles of structure formation of biomacromolecules are discussed. Physical methods for the measurement of molecular forces and molecular structure are presented. The course also delivers insight into membrane physics and transport phenomena. The students understand the principles of electricity and thermodynamics in organisms and can make simple quantitative calculations.
