The students have in-depth knowledge in the terminology of business English, especially a deeper understanding of the internal and external challenges of an internationally active corporation. They know and understand the linguistic nuances from different functions of a corporation and can express themselves in detail in the foreign language about the external surroundings of a corporation and the challenges connected with it (e.g. international trade, founding of subsidiaries). They are able to understand the complex environment of a corporation (e.g. challenges of the digital age, globalisation) and to analyse specific situations. Here, especially the comparisons between different corporations of the target countries and countries of origin play a role. In comparison to the basic module, the advanced module places a stronger emphasis on the mastery of linguistic structures (e.g. appropriate idioms, tone/style) which are required for the Council of Europe C1 level and the understanding of intercultural aspects.
