Professional competences:

The students have in-depth knowledge of hypotheses concerning industrialization developed by economic historians and fundamental theories of modern growth (Solow model etc.). They are familiar with the scientific literature about industrialization. They are able to reproduce and critically evaluate the main developments, their causes and reasons both theoretically and empirically in light of the current international scientific debate. The students are able to apply economic models on historical issues and thus learn important analytic skills to be able to work on current issues.
