The students develop a basic understanding for questions and methods used in agricultural and forest meteorology. They know the relationships between weather and climate on the one hand side and the different types of land surface on the other side and are capable to use this knowledge to solve interdisciplinary questions in applied meteorology.

The students are capable to combine the competences learned in this module with their knowledge learned in the basis lectures of earth sys-tem sciences to work on interdisciplinary questions in agriculture and forestry.
