First of all, the lecture takes as its theme the diverse opportunities how moral interests can be realized by society and/or companies under the requirements of modern market economy: In case that dilemma situations arise, a morally oriented regulatory policy (“economic ethics”) is needed, is the matter on the other hand a situation of contingency, initiatives of the management come into question (“business ethics”). Secondly, the differences of diverse ethical conceptions as well as the logic of economic and business ethical lines of reasoning will be illustrated. And thirdly, the lecture then discusses various concrete practical examples (labor market; “productive social policies”; stakeholder management; anti-corruption policy; family-oriented personnel policy; managerial salaries and so on).
