The lecture deepens and extends the knowledge acquired in the course "Fundamentals in Corporate Finance" and consists of three main parts. At first, the students learn to apply the present value method to evaluate shares, bonds and investments. The second part deals with risk measurement and risk identification, whereby the focus is on the Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM). In the third part, the basics of risk management are discussed and the basic instruments for risk reduction (insurances, options, futures, forwards, swaps) are presented.

All three topics include numerical examples and exercises, which enable the students to practice the learned contents.
