The students
- know the most important host-parasite systems of plants, animals and microorganisms
- know how parasites find their hosts
- understand the most important strategies of defence from hosts
- know how parasites are able to circumvent these stragegies
- are familiar the concept of coevolution and understand the consequences for the relationship between hosts and parasites
