Fundamental precision farming principles and description of spatial heterogeneity of soils and plants; data base structures, geographic information systems (GIS), global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) and variable rate technology (VRT) for the main operations in crop production, especially tillage, sowing, fertilisation and harvesting; decision support and economic evaluation

Lectures, demonstrations and practical exercises. Each student needs to contribute in a group of students to read, present and discuss a scientific paper as an exam prerequisit. The module is conducted in cooperation with teaching staff from other departments, international scientists and experts from different companies. Lecture handouts and other materials will be provided.
