Animal diseases as a limiting factor of animal production; importance of selected animal diseases for human health and nutritional security; bacterial, viral, and parasitic diseases of livestock in the tropics and subtropics; simple methods used to identify diseases and the validity of applied methods; project work on selected topics of animal hygiene in the tropics and subtropics.

Description of the subject by a specific lecturer, working for project related subjects in small groups with the aid of available working materials.
